KAZE RECO is an application to investigate common cold symptoms. Common cold symptoms include a variety of symptoms including fever, cough, nasal symptoms, sore throat, and fatigue. This application will ask you about these symptoms, as well as utilize the health data recorded on Healthcare, including activity, sleep, heart, and nutrition.

People who have the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) also presents symptoms similar to common cold. This application collects general information on respiratory infection which presents fever, cough, fatigue, sore throat, nasal symptoms, etc. COVID-19 is a major public health concern recently, and COVID-19 is also a target of this application.
By using the application, you can contribute to the surveillance which aims to identify diagnosed and pre-diagnosed patients with common cold, influenza, or COVID-19. You can also contribute to the research conducted by the Disease Control and Prevention Center, the National Center for Global Health and Medicine.
If is also beneficial for yourself. You can check the distribution of symptomatic patients on a map, or see the transition of the number of symptomatic patients in a certain area or prefecture.

Those information you contributed to the research group will be analyzed together with the data on weather. This analysis aims to identify meteorological conditions by which respiratory infections may likely increase or spread. Additionally, we also intend to identify incidents which possibly were COVID-19 but was not diagnosed because the symptoms were mild, or cluster of cases which was unidentified.
Our future vision is to predict the pandemic or spread of infections by considering people’s movements, meteorological conditions, and incidence data.
